Born March 28, 1953, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, Mark Hayes is an internationally known and award-winning composer, arranger, concert pianist and conductor. Hayes’ compositions and arrangements are known for their unique American sound, drawing from diverse musical styles such as gospel, jazz, pop, folk, and classical. In addition to his involvement in sacred and secular choral music, Hayes is an accomplished orchestrator and record producer. In June 2010 Mark released his first CD of original songs titled All Is Well, featuring Kansas City jazz artist, Monique Danielle. Whether concertizing on the other side of the globe or composing at his home in Kansas City, Missouri, Mark is blessed to live out his mission “to create beautiful music for the world”. We will be performing Forever Music, commissioned for the Kansas All-State Honor Choir. Forever Music speaks of music's power to uplift and heal: "O sing in language of the heart, sing more than just a sound. Sing from the depths of hope and love with words rich and profound, forever music."
