Historical archives have it that Thomas (Tom), when born, screamed the tune “Nessun Dorma”. His parents quickly discouraged him as they were fans of show tunes and barbershop quartets. Tom’s exposure to show tunes led him to being cast in his first musical “The Happy Time” in college. The show was originally directed and choreographed by Gower Champion who was renowned for his Broadway show choreography. In rehearsing this show, Tom had his first exposure to show dancing. He loved this dance experience and began to study more dance, relegating singing to second place. Years later when dancing was no longer an option, Tom took up singing along with his car radio and was able get enough of his voice back to join the Santa Fe Symphony Chorus. Ultimately, this led to voice lessons with Tim Willson and joining the Sangre de Christo Chorale.
