The Sangre de Cristo Chorale is ready to sing again!
Our group values great singing, hard work, a supportive rehearsal and performance climate, a diversity of voices, and fun! We invite you to sing with us in our upcoming 44th season. Information about concerts, auditions, and a celebratory Open House follow below.

Auditions
While our scheduled August auditions below have been held, we are always interested in new singers wishing to join our ranks. For information and to express interest in auditioning, please contact Music Director Fred Graham at sdccmusicdirector@gmail.com

Auditions will consist of one prepared piece of your choosing, a brief sight-singing excerpt, a brief ear training exercise, and a range check. The Chorale membership typically includes singers in their teens and twenties and every decade on up. There are no dues or music fees, although donations from singers (and others!) are greatly appreciated and help sustain our organization.
Upcoming Season Schedule
A Winter Day (Saturday and Sunday, December 4-5, 4:00PM) will premiere “The End and The Beginning," a work by Katie Kring commissioned by the Chorale, and will collaborate with cellist Dana Winograd on a major work by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel.
A Shakespeare Sampler (Saturday and Sunday, February 19-20, 4:00PM) will present a concert of settings of Shakespeare, including Matthew Harris’s beloved "Shakespeare Songs".
Songs of Nature (Thursday, May 12, 7:00PM) will feature flutist Bonnie Schmader will join us in a concert linking music with sounds of nature, including works of Craig Hella Johnson, Jocelyn Hagen, and Judith Cloud.
