Dan Peterson, bass, moved to Santa Fe from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2020 and joined the Chorale in 2022 when it re-emerged after Covid. Singing with others has always been Dan’s ”medicine” for mental health and his favorite way to connect with what he calls “his” people. Dan began singing in high school at the American School in Japan and then in the Glee Club at UC Berkeley. Since 2000, he has sung with Voices in Harmony, an international medal-winning barbershop chorus and Chromatica Chorale, both in Northern California. A serial entrepreneur, Dan retired in 2020 after 50+ years of starting and leading companies, a practice his mother said he adopted because no one wanted him as an employee. While she may have been right, Dan’s greatest reward has been the legion of professional and music friends he has collected from around the world.
