Working life began at the age of 7 as a well-regarded clerk in the family hardware store. Another twenty years, and I could expect to take my place as a full-fledged merchant in town… But when the other two seven year-old Christmas Shepherds forgot the lyrics to Silent Night, in our Swedish Lutheran church, my life as a Singer began. High School choirs and musicals lead to University choirs and seasons of summer stock. An invitation to visit new theater friends in NYC prompted a 42 year stay that included a B.A. in Theater and later a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education as well as nearly 30 years in the NYC Public Schools.
