Alexandra Esquibel

 

 

Alexandra Esquibel, MA, LMHC, attended Eastern New Mexico University majoring in Music with an emphasis in Voice and a Minor in Psychology and graduated in 2019. A lyric coloratura soprano, Alexandra is starting to build her resume and make her “small but mighty” voice known in the Santa Fe area. Past roles and performing experiences include Maria in Westside Story (ENMU 2018), Nella in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi(ENMU 2018) soloist for Potpourri of Song (Opera West! 2023). Chorus roles include ENMU University Singers 2014-2018, Camelot (ENMU 2015), Hansel und Gretel through the Berlin Opera Academy summer training program (2018), and most recently in Opera West’s fall 2023 production of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. She currently sings with the Sangre de Cristo Chorale and the Santa Fe Symphony Chorus. Alexandra is also a classically trained violinist and currently plays with the Southwest Symphony in Hobbs, NM. She received her master’s degree in counseling in the fall of 2023 at Southwestern College in Santa Fe and is currently practicing as a licensed therapist in Santa Fe.
